DCWL Classic - Cornerstone Revolution III: King of Endurance

By 2006, Jackson Hunter had gone from long shot challenger to an institution as Grand Champion. However, longtime rival Mark Haley sought to collect a debt from the champion, and brother Darian Haley, aka Orion, was not far behind. These three individuals would collide in a new match concept called the "King of Endurance," a long form match in which scores were tallied per fall, and the winner would be the first past ten points.

But, like the Cornerstone Revolution main events before, intrigues were brewing after the match...

[Slow fade from black.]

(Out of the black, epic music begins to sound. The ending of Total
Dementia is seen, Alexander Hawkins III defeating Jackson Hunter, and
holding the Plunderweight Championship high above his head. There is a
slight haze over the events as they move in slow motion. But then, AH3
is seen across a black background, arms folded with the Plunderweight
championship over his shoulder, the camera zooms around him dynamically
as another figure comes into view… The Rat. Standing with his hands on
his hips, the Rat glares at the screen from behind his sunglasses.
Soon, behind the two, more figures appear. Tawny Blake, Babyface
Brawler, Celestial Warrior, Maul, Tigress, and Vyolence. As they seem
to march from the background, toward AH3 and The Rat in the foreground,
a familiar tune begins to play.)

# You say you want a Revolution.. #

(The Rat and AH3 slowly turn, gripping their fists, walking toward the
others as if in a big gang fight. The folky tune continues to play as
they walk towards each other.)

# Well, ya know. #

(The screen seems to change, now with Team Hawkins and Team Rat walking
toward each other, as if both are stuck in West Side Story. But the
camera then flashes to see the Tag Team Champions, Guido Milano and
Johnny Detson standing with the straps across their shoulders. Coming
from behind them are Da Ace Killas, armed with action figures.)

# We all want to change the world #

(But the camera spins around once more and now focuses on Naja Takamara
and Curt Olsen, the Platinum Title sitting in between them. Naja lifts
the title up, draping it over his shoulder, but Olsen just looks at him
with a smirk on his face…)

# You tell me that it’s evolution #

(But as the camera takes another dynamic swing into the black
nothingness, it comes back around to see Skye Ashner. He looks over his
shoulder as Evlynn comes walking up behind him, and suddenly the two
are looking at each other in a heated stare.)

# Well, ya know #

(After a moment, The two turn their backs on each other and begin
walking away in slow paces, as if in an Old West gunman duel.)

# We all want to change the world #

(But just as before, the camera spins wildly out of control, but this
time locks in to the stone cold stare of Haplo the Vagabond. He stands
alone in the darkness, arms stretched out as the camera spins around
his impressive muscular build.)

# But when you talk about destruction #

(And as it violently spins upwards, we now see the tattooed scales on
the back of Noah Prejudice. He glares forward while the camera
continues to spin around him. But soon the camera stops over his
shoulder, and he begins to walk forward. Walking towards him in the
same path is Haplo. Their eyes lock in a cold stare as they continue
toward each other until…)

# Don't you know you can count me out #

(Static… The sound of the Beatles’ "Revolution" stops.)

# The Revolution will not be televised. #

(Through the static is the image of the Grand Championship.)

# The Revolution will not be televised. #

(Then comes Mark Haley, walking down an alleyway…)

# The Revolution will not be televised. #

(…and on the other side of the alleyway is Orion…)

# The Revolution will not be televised. #

(In the middle, holding the Grand Championship is Jackson Hunter. Haley
and Orion start walking towards Hunter, who just smirks, motioning for
them to “bring it”. As they near, the screen goes to static, and then
back to black… The Beatles’ tune returns.)

# Don’t you know it’s gonna be… #

(Haley, Orion, and Hunter now stand in the blackness like everyone else
before them. Slowly they begin walking toward a center point, at which
lies the Grand Championship, all reaching it simultaneously. The three
look up from the title to each other, as suddenly yet again see Team
Hawkins and Team Rat walking faster and faster toward each other.)

# Alright! #

(As Team Hawkins and Team Rat meet each other, a brawl breaks out! But
it is consumed by a white light, which now shows us the Tag Champs
again, getting bombarded with action figures! Detson and Guido duck and
cover as they get closer and closer to Da Ace Killas, and when the
reach them… the same white light!)

# Alright! #

(Ashner and Evelynn suddenly turn and rush toward each other, each
other them leaping in the air. They lock arms, as the same white light
appears in between them!)

# Alright! #

(Noah Prejudice and Haplo the Vagabond still remain in a death cold
stare. Both of them stand there, just staring, seething with rage,
hatred for one another. The same white light then engulfs them…)

# Alright! #

(Static once more… We see Jackon Hunter’s face, as Haley and Orion are
closing in on him and the Grand Championship. He smirks before uttering
a phrase…)

“The Revolution WILL be Televised…”

[Black.]

---

RM: "Our final match of the evening has been building since Jackson
Hunter first arrived in the DCWL."

HP: "I think we've all seen the replay of Mark Haley's unprovoked
attack on Jax! No need to rehash that, Manning!"

RM: "No question, we've all seen it, as Jackson Hunter has not been
shy about replaying it. But now these two are finally going to settle
things in the ring. If Mark Haley wins, Jax has promised to shake his
hand. And if Jax wins, Mark Haley has promised to acknowledge Jax as a
proper champion. There's a lot of pride at stake for both of these
men!"

HP: "Don't forget that the movie star's superior brother, Orion, is
also going to be in this match!"

RM: "That's absolutely right, Hollywood, Orion has been added to the
match as a third competitor, and there's a mystery surrounding whether
or not Orion and Mark Haley are actually in cahoots to try to get the
title from Jackson Hunter!"

HP: "I sure hope Orion wouldn't sink so low as to have to team up with
his no talent hack of a brother!"

RM: "And let's not forget, Hollywood, that this match is also to crown
the King of Endurance! Not just any three way dance, but a King of
Endurance match to decide the DCWL Grand Champion! The rules are fairly
simple, the first man to reach ten points is the winner."

(A graphic comes up on the screen. It shows the points and the method
they can be scored, like so:

Scoring:

Pinfalls: 3
Submission: 4
I Quit: 5 (Elimination)

Illegal: -2
Count out: -1

The graphic fades out.)

RM: "As you can see, ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this match has
to meet or exceed ten points to get the win, and this is how it can be
done. Pinning an opponent to the mat results in three points,
submissions are worth four points, and getting your opponent to say 'I
quit' results in a big five point gain, and can eliminate the quitter
from the match outright!"

HP: "You sure about that, Manning?"

RM: "Jax set up the rules himself, Hollywood! He also informed us that
point totals can go down by cheating, which will cost you two points,
and being counted out will cost you one!"

HP: "I gotta believe Jax made sure that stipulation went in, so he can
beat the hell out of Haley for more than ten points worth! Gain some
points, lose some points! HA! The agony goes on!"

RM: "Okay, someone has been watching Karate Kid part III, lately!"

HP: "Cobra Kai, motherfuc-"

RM: "Alright, that's more than enough last minute hype for this match
up, let's head down to ringside!"

(Cut away from Rich and Hollywood to the ring.)

**DING DING DING**

PA: "Ladies and gentlemen, the final match of the evening is a King of
Endurance match-"

(Crowd begins cheering prematurely!)

PA: "-and is for the DCWL GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP!!"

(Crowd starts to scream their heads off!!!)

PA: "Introducing first..."

(The lights go out, and the arena is blanketed in thick darkness as the
droning chords and drum beat from Metallica’s “Orion” fade in over the
sound system. A soft, pale blue light illuminates the ring, ramp, and
stage, reflecting off of silver glitter falling from the ceiling. It
grows in intensity as the music crescendos...)

PA: "... from Los Angeles, California... weighing 294 pounds ... here
is OOORRRRRRIIIIIIIIOOOOOONNNN!!!"

(Suddenly, heavy guitar riffs pound over the sound system as white
sparklers surround the entrance and stage in a blaze of glory, and
Orion steps out onto the stage. He puts his hands on his hips and
looks out upon the darkened crowd as the sparklers continue to
illuminate the stage. After a moment, the sparklers fade, and Orion
begins to swiftly stride down the ramp.)

RM: "We haven’t seen Orion with Samantha for months! I wonder-"

HP: "What? Are you implying that Orion killed his girlfriend in a fit
of rage? Because I’m sick of hearing your accusations!"

RM: "I never said that!"

(As the silver glitter continues to fall around the arena, shining
brightly in the blue light, Orion climbs the steel steps to the ring
apron and steps under the ropes to enter the ring. He moves to the
center of the ring, and stands with his feet slightly spread, facing
down at the mat, arms at his side. With a burst of energy that moves
through his entire body, his arms fly upward toward the heavens, and
white sparklers fall all around him in the ring.)

(Orion then moves to his corner as the glitter stops falling. While he
begins to stretch a bit, his music fades, and the normal lights come
back on.)

PA: "Introducing next..."

(All of the lights cut out, blanketing the arena in total darkness, as
the intro to Creed's "What If" begins to flow over the crowd, a guitar
and a bass playing counterpoint to each other. The sudden change in
atmosphere, along with the fans' recognition of the music, gets a huge
cheer out of the sellout crowd, which only gets louder as the music
builds, until a short drum roll and a sharp guitar lick suddenly break
the steady rhythmic tide.)

# I can't find the rhyme in all my reason #
# Lost sense of time and all seasons #
# Feel I've been beaten down #
# By the words of men who have no grounds #

(Heavy, percussive guitar chords grind methodically over the sound
system, as a silvery blue light fills the arena, and blindingly bright
silver and white fireworks explode around the entrance. After a moment,
the smoke begins to fade, allowing Mark Haley to come slowly into view,
which sparks a huge roar from his thousands of fans. His arms are
extended down and out to his sides, and his head is down, causing his
long, wavy black hair to fall over his face, casting shadows that
obscure what little of his face isn't already masked by the hair
itself.)

# Can't sleep beneath the trees of wisdom #
# When your axe has cut the roots that feed them #
# Forked tongues in bitter mouths #
# Can drive a man to bleed from inside out #

(Mark Haley is an athletic, muscular man, six and a half feet tall, his
body the product of a single-minded pursuit of physical perfection.
Despite the hardness of his facial features, there is a shadowy
handsomeness to him, punctuated by his strong, clean-shaven jaw. He
wears black wrestling tights, made out of some kind of shiny,
leather-like material that reflects the blue-silver light, along with
black boots and fingerless gloves. His torso is covered by a black
T-shirt with an image of the sun's corona on the front; over that, he
wears a black leather duster that comes down to mid-calf. He also
wears a pair of his trademark thin black sunglasses.)

# What if you did? #
# What if you lied? #

(As the crowd continues to cheer for Mark, he simply soaks in their
reaction, slowly looking from side to side, his gaze drifting from one
end of the arena to the other.)

# What if I avenge? #
# What if eye for an eye? #

(Suddenly, in one quick, fluid motion, he violently whips his head up,
sending the jet-black mane flying back over his shoulders, and
revealing his face, stony and stoic. He looks from side to side again,
quickly this time, sending his dark hair flying from shoulder to
shoulder.)

PA: "...Hailing from Los Angeles, California, and weighing in at 263
pounds... MAAAAARRRRRK HAAAAAAAAALEEEEEEEEEY!!!"

(After gazing around the arena for a few moments longer, looking over
the cheering fans, a small smirk comes to Haley's lips. He raises both
arms in acknowledgement of them, and then violently brings them back
down, setting off another group of silver and white fireworks all
around him, before he starts down the ramp, the duster billowing out
behind him as he walks.)

HP: "Jesus tap-dancing Christ, is he still at the top of the
entranceway?"

# I've seen the wicked fruit of your vine #
# Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind #
# Human pride sings a vengeful song #
# Inspired by the times you've been walked on #

(Mark energetically storms down the length of the ramp, playing to the
fans the entire way, pumping his fists and pointing out individuals
with Haley-related signs in the crowd. As he nears the bottom of the
ramp, he approaches the side of the aisle, and high-fives as many
outstretched hands as he can without stopping his approach to the
ring.)

# My stage is shared by many millions #
# Who lift their hands up high because they feel this#
# We are one, we are strong #
# The more you hold us down, the more we press on #

(Haley slides under the ring ropes and stands to his feet, and heads
for the nearest corner. He climbs the turnbuckle; when he reaches the
top, he whips his head back, sending his hair flying, and throws his
right arm up into the air. The pose gets another huge cheer from the
crowd, and flashes go off around the arena. After looking out over the
roaring fans for a few moments, he jumps down, and quickly strides
across to the opposite turnbuckle.)

# What if you did? #
# What if you lied? #
# What if I avenge? #
# What if eye for an eye? #

(Mark quickly climbs that turnbuckle and repeats the same motion there,
throwing his head back and raising his arm, to a similar response of
cheers and flashbulbs. Then he removes his sunglasses and flings them
into the crowd, where several people scramble to try and catch them
before one lucky person ends up with the treasured shades. After
watching the contest with a smile, he hops back down to the mat,
removes his duster, and tosses it out of the ring; the T-shirt is next
to come off, drawing some high-pitched cheers from the DCWL's female
fans, and it too is thrown out of the ring with the duster. Both the
duster and shirt are retrieved by the ring crew as the lights come back
up and the music fades, while Haley heads to his corner, and adjusts
his elbow pads and gloves, mentally preparing for the match.)

HP: "Finally."

PA: "And their opponent..."

CROWD: “BOO!!!”

(The first syncopated guitar riffs of "Revolution Blues" by Neil Young
sound, and Three Little Words on the big screen cause a lot of acrimony
in the assembled masses: )

"JUST WATCH ME"

(...Which is followed by the usual commissioner-whacking, glass
pane-breaking, illegal tasering, chair smashing, Broken Arrow-ing
montage, liberally intercut with single-frame Soviet-style propaganda
messages.)

# Well, we live in a trailer at the edge of town. #
# You never see us 'cause we don't come around. #
# We got twenty five rifles just to keep the population down. #
# But we need you now, and that's why I'm hangin' 'round. #
# So you be good to me and I'll be good to you, #
# And in this land of conditions I'm not above suspicion #
# I won't attack you, but I won't back you. #

(Enter Jackson Hunter, Grand Championship slung with care over his
shoulder casting a baleful eye toward the crowd with a mixture of
disdain and paranoia. Gripping the belt closer, he skulks his way down
the aisle, eyeballing the angry crowd the whole time. His
shoulder-length mess of wavy mottled brown and dirty blonde hair hangs
over the white towel slung around his neck, which in turn caps the
matte black warm-up jacket, a Jack Daniels label-inspired logo on the
back: "JACKSON HUNTER / OLD MISERY GUTS No. 13 / QUALITY / SASKATCHEWAN
/ SOUR GRAPES / WHISKEY." Jax's ring attire consists of silver and
black snakeskin patterned long tights, black kneepads, and calf-length
black boots. Also visible are two taped fists, bound in black athletic
tape to halfway up the forearm.)

# Well, it's so good to be here asleep on your lawn. #
# Remember your guard dog? Well, I'm afraid that he's gone. #
# It was such a drag to hear him whining all night long. #
# Yes, that was me with the doves, setting them free near the factory #
# Where you built your computer, love. #
# I hope you get the connection, 'cause I can't take the rejection #
# I won't deceive you, I just don't believe you. #

PA: "... from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada ... weighing 234 pounds
... he is the DCWL Grand Champion ... here is JAAAAACK-SOOON
HUNNNNNNNN-TEEER!!!"

(With a stony glare, he surveys the entire arena while stalking around
ringside. Jeering and cursing rain down on him. He discards the warm-up
jacket and towel-- holding on to the belt for a bit longer-- and climbs
the stairs. Rather than posing, he elects to remain on the apron,
leaning over the ropes, slightly, and begins to stare down Mark Haley.
He doesn't break gaze-- although he in not physically impressive and
has no great musculature, his personality is clearly repugnant enough
to make anyone think twice.)

# Well, I'm a barrel of laughs, with my carbine on #
# I keep 'em hoppin', till my ammunition's gone. #
# But I'm still not happy, I feel like there's something wrong. #
# I got the revolution blues, I see bloody fountains, #
# And ten million dune buggies comin' down the mountains. #
# Well, I hear that Laurel Canyon is full of famous stars, #
# But I hate them worse than lepers and I'll kill them in their cars. #

(Jax is very cautious with both Haley brothers in the ring. He tries to
keep an equal distance from the both of them.)

**DING DING DING**

Haley makes a sudden move to close the gap,
between himself and Hunter,
but the anxious champion is quick to defensively back off.
Mark Haley backs off,
but Jax has now moved even closer to Orion,
and Orion moves in on the champ!
Jax is quick to notice, however,
and lands a quick elbow on Orion!
Orion is stunned, and Jax uses this opportunity to strike again,
knocking Orion back into the corner!
Jax begins putting the boots to Orion,
and Mark Haley begins to slowly walk towards Jax from behind.

RM: "This match has started off quick with Jax taking it to Orion! Or,
as he calls him, 'Ashlee!' "

HP: "Dammit, Jax, look behind you!"

While Jax has been so intent on putting the boots to Orion,
Haley manages to get behind with his back to him.
Mark grabs Jax's head against his shoulder,
and drops to the mat with a neckbreaker!
Orion starts to recover, as Jax looks up to see both the Haleys.
He quickly slides himself underneath the ropes,
and outside of the ring.
Jax points and screams derisively at the two of them,
and the referee begins his ten count.

ONE!
.

.

.

TWO!
.

.

.

THREE!
.

.

RM: "It looks like the very first point scored in this match could be
negative!"

.

.
FOUR!
.

.

.

FIVE!
.

.

Jax is still unwilling to reenter the ring.
Mark Haley demands that he come back in,
but Orion instead punches Haley in the ribs!
Haley is shocked, and Orion presses his advantage.
Haley can't trade punches with his much larger brother,
and finds himself against the ropes in no time!
The referee struggles to keep an eye on both men,
and still count against Jax!

.

.
SIX!
.

.

RM: "There goes the idea that they're working together!"

Orion whips Haley into the ropes,
as Jax looks on from the outside.
Orion picks up Haley to go for an elevated press slam,
but Mark floats over and hooks in a sleeper hold!
Orion's arms flail about,
and the referee calls out SEVEN!
The referee is obviously having a hard time,
trying to tell whether or not he should call the count,
or see if Orion is going to pass out.
He calls out EIGHT,
and Jax grabs hold of the bottom rope with one hand.

HP: "C'mon, Jax, don't make your own rules work against ya!"

.

.
NINE!

Orion's arms continue to flail,
and he almost reaches back and grabs Mark Haley's hair,
but loses any chance when Haley begins to wrench his brother around.
The referee is about to call out TEN!,
but Jax quickly is into the ring.

RM: "If Jackson Hunter hadn't got back into the ring before the call of
ten, it would have cost him a point! And there's no use in working from
below zero in this thing!"

HP: "No kidding, Manning! Jax doesn't need to give those two
monkey-humpers any advantages over him! Not that he couldn't win
anyway, but giving anything to Mark Haley is just sickening!"

Jax sneers at the sight of Orion, being held by Mark Haley.
As the referee checks to see if Orion is still conscious,
Orion breaks free, and smashes into Jax with a clothesline!
Jax goes down!
Mark Haley now moves into position, putting a leg grapevine on Jax,
while Orion straddles his chest,
and begins driving his fist into Jax's head repeatedly!

RM: "Orion broke free! Or was that a setup? Did Mark Haley and Orion
make it look like they were fighting each other to get Jackson Hunter
back into the ring?"

HP: "Either way, Jax is getting pummeled! I won't stand for this,
Manning! Jax deserves a partner in crime, too!"

Jax is close enough to the ropes to reach out and grab them,
so the referee orders Mark Haley to break his hold.
Haley complies, but Orion continues to batter the champion!
With his legs freed,
Jax reaches up and blocks Orion's swinging arm,
and swings his other leg up,
to knock Orion down onto his shoulders!
The referee counts:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

A standing dropkick from Mark Haley connects with Jax's head,
breaking up the impromptu pinfall.
Haley gets Jax to his feet,
and whips him hard into the nearby ropes.
Jax manages to cling to the ropes,
so he doesn't bounce back at them--so Haley charges at him, instead.
Jax manages to duck,
and backdrops Haley right out of the ring!
Haley impacts hard on the padding outside of the ring,
and Jax turns his attention to a now-standing Orion!

HP: "You have to commend Jax, Manning, he's doing a great job against
the conspiracy to steal his title!"

RM: "I don't know that I would call it a conspiracy, Hollywood,
considering we don't have actual proof that Orion and Haley are even
working together!"

HP: "What more proof do you need, other than them both attacking him?
Open your eyes, you sheep!"

Jax meets with Orion in the center of the ring,
and dodges a punch from the much larger Orion!
Jax responds with a forearm to the chest,
and follows with an elbow to the stomach!
Orion is doubled over,
and Jax bounces off the ropes,
but is tripped up by Mark Haley!
Jax impacts the mat hard, smacking his face on impact.
Jax holds his nose, and Orion moves in to pick him up.
Haley begins to climb back into the ring,
as Orion flings Jax into the corner.
Orion sets himself up,
and begins driving his shoulder into Jax's stomach.
He does it again, and again, and again,
by the time Haley gets into the ring.
Orion notices his brother,
and tosses Jax by his bleached-blonde hair to the center of the ring.
Orion shouts something to Mark Haley,
and he shouts right back at Orion.

HP: "How's that for proof of a conspiracy? They're in the ring,
CONSPIRING!"

RM: "Sorry, Hollywood, but I'm not nearly as paranoid as you or Jax!
I'll wait until this so-called conspiracy actually produces something."

Haley now seizes on the downed champion,
and sets him back up to a standing position.
He draws a chop across Jax's chest,
eliciting the normal chorus of "WHOO"s from the audience.
He continues, each time drawing a similar "WHOO" reaction,
until he has him against the ropes.
Haley pushes him for more leverage,
then Irish whips him to the other side.
Haley drops his chest to the mat,
forcing Jax to leap over and bounce off the other ropes.
Mark Haley is back up quickly,
and his joined by Orion--both drop their heads for a double back drop.
Jax runs towards them both, and leaps over,
grabbing each by the inside leg,
trying to pull them over in a double pin!
Both men try to stand, despite Jax gripping their legs,
but manage to plant their weight on the outside legs,
that Jax is not pulling on.
They both reach up with their inside arms,
and punch Jax right in the forehead!
Jax releases both of their legs,
and a shudder goes through his body down to his legs.

HP: "Now what, Manning?!?"

RM: "I am... I suppose, I think you're right Hollywood, it really does
look like Orion and Mark Haley are working together in this match!"

HP: "Yeah, and now I've got that admission on tape! You heard it here,
DCWL--Hollywood Panzerotti is always right!"

RM: "That's NOT what I said."

Orion motions to the corner,
where both he and Mark Haley drag Jax towards.
Orion sets up Jax in a standing head scissors,
and Haley sets himself up on the second rope.
Orion lifts Jax into a piledriver position,
and Mark Haley jumps and presses down!

RM: "OOH, spiked piledriver! Jax has got to be feeling that one!"

Haley goes for the pinfall:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

Jax kicks out!

Haley is now on his knees, looking frustrated.
Haley throws a sleeper hold around Jax's neck,
and Orion gets down to punch at Hunter's stomach.
Jackson is weak, and looks like he just might tap out--
but he kicks at Orion's exposed stomach, doubling him over,
and forces his way back up with his legs.
He drops back down to the mat with a modified Diamond Cutter on Haley.
Jax is just about to rise back up, when he is speared by Orion!

RM: "Looks like Jax just can't get a break!"

HP: "My opinion of Orion is rapidly dropping! How could he team up with
Mark Haley? Of all the other people in the world, his miserable
brother?!? BAH!"

Orion gets up off of Jax,
only to drag him back into the corner again.
Haley begins to get back up,
as Orion starts laying into Jax again,
by repeatedly driving a knee into his stomach.
Jax is pretty beat, when Orion lets him slump out of the corner.
Haley comes over, and drags him out into the center of the ring.
He goes to cover Jax, but Orion pulls him off!

RM: "Hello? What's all this, then?"

HP: "Ugh, don't ever say that again."

Haley and Orion share some rather loud words with one another,
before Orion picks up Jax in a standing headscissors,
and lifts him up into a back breaker position-

RM: "Uh-oh! Looks like he's about to-"

-and drops Jax down in a powerbomb!
The ring shakes with the impact,
as Mark Haley has to hold on to the ropes to keep his footing.
Jax is down, and looks like he's in a lot of pain!

RM: "THE BLACK HOLE! Orion hits the Black Hole on Jax! He's going for
the pin!"

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

Jax feebly kicks--

.

THREE!!!

-but doesn't get his shoulders off the mat.
The referee signals the pinfall.

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Orion has THREE POINTS!!"

The crowd offers a mixed bag reaction.
Orion gets up, and gets out of the way,
and now Mark Haley goes to pin Jax!

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

Kickout!

HP: "Bad enough they're trying to rack up the points on Jax, but now
they're trying to get two pinfalls in a row? No way Jax is having
that!"

Haley shakes his head in disappointment with Hunter kicking out,
as Orion smiles.
Orion leans back into the turnbuckle,
watching his brother apply a full nelson to Jax.

RM: "It looks like Mark Haley is going for the Total Eclipse
submission!"

Jax realizes this fact as well, as he fights the hold,
but Mark soon has the legs isolated,
and the arms cinched in the full nelson.
Jax is in the center of the ring and has nowhere to go!
The fans in the arena are suddenly on their feet,
cheering for Mark Haley!
The die-hard Jax fans in the front rows are crying,
for Jax to get out of the hold, somehow,
but he doesn't look like he's going to be able to do it!
Jax's face drips with sweat and desperation,
but he still refuses to tap out or say "I quit!"
Orion drops down and gets to eye level with Jackson Hunter,
before slapping him a bit for good measure.
Jackson just grits his teeth and refuses to acknowledge the pain,
but now Mark Haley cinches the hold in even tighter!

HP: "Come on, Jackson! I won't stand for a Haley as a champion! Or, at
least, I won't after tonight! You're dead to me, Orion!"

The cameras move in close,
so that you can see Jax up close,
and can even hear what's being said in the ring.
Jax is actually lowering his arm to tap out,
but now Haley refuses to let him do that!
Mark Haley be heard, yelling at Jax, "Say it! Say that you quit!",
while Jax curses back at him.

RM: "I apologize if any underage viewers heard Jax's comments just
now."

HP: "Pay-per-view, Manning! If they didn't want to hear it, their
parents should have activated their V-chips! Assuming that the little
bastards have parents, that is!"

Haley keeps demanding that Jax quit,
and Orion slaps him across the face again.
Jax is trying to turn all his weight to one side, however--
but Haley manages to pull him back to center.
Jax starts rocking his head back and forth out of frustration,
and lets out a primal scream!
Jax rocks back to the side, still trying to get out.
Haley is trying to keep him from moving,
and Orion standing there right in front of him isn't helping any.
Jax manages to squirm a little,
getting more onto his side than on his stomach.
Mark tries to stop him, now,
but is growing tired from using all his energy to keep the hold on.
Orion moves in to stop him,
but Jax gets at an angle that he can finally slap the mat!
Jax taps out to the Total Eclipse!

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mark Haley has FOUR POINTS!!"

RM: "A very minor victory for Jax, as he managed to submit, rather than
have to quit and remove himself from the match--not to mention give
Mark Haley five points instead of four."

The crowd cheers,
but Mark Haley refuses to release the hold on Jax.
The referee tells him that he has to let go,
but Mark refuses, still insisting that Jax quit.
Jax is still clinging to consciousness,
as Mark wants him to be able to say the words "I quit,"
but the referee is trying to get Haley to start over from square one.
The ref begins tugging on Haley's arm,
trying to get him to let go,
which actually hurts Jax even more.
Orion finally stands up to his full, impressive height,
and shoos the referee out of the way--
only to kick Mark Haley in the side of the head!

RM: "Looks like the conspiracy is falling apart, isn't it, Hollywood?"

HP: "Bah! I know exactly what happened! Orion sees Haley going for the
win--if he got Jax to quit, not only would Jax be out of the match
right then and there, but he'd have nine points! Orion only has three
points! I don't think Orion signed up for that!"

Mark Haley, with an incredulous look on his face,
stands up and looks at his brother.
Haley shoves him in the chest, only for Orion to shove him right back!
The tension in the arena builds,
as Mark Haley clenches his fist and hits his brother!
Orion hits Haley right back,
and now we've got Orion and Mark Haley trading punches,
in the middle of the ring!
Jax crawls, slowly, over to the corner,
for a chance to catch his breath,
and Orion begins to obtain the upper hand!

RM: "One way or another, Hollywood, it's for certain that these two,
whether they were working together by design or coincidence, are
DEFINITELY no longer working with one another now!"

Orion nails a few overhand blows against his brother,
then begins alternating punches with stiff kicks to the gut.
After one such kick, he applies a front face lock,
and takes Mark up into a hanging vertical suplex.
Jax, coughing and trying to catch his breath in the corner,
watches as Haley comes crashing down to the mat, holding his back.
Orion pays no attention to Jax,
as he looks over to his older brother,
and starts smashing his head against the mat.
The referee warns Orion against such things,
but he doesn't care, and keeps doing it.
The referee now warns him again,
that he'll be stripped of points if he doesn't stop,
and Orion gets right into the referee's face,
turning his back on Haley.
The referee and Orion continue to argue,
but not before Haley manages to get over to his knees.
He quickly gets an arm between Orion's legs,
and pulls him over in a schoolboy rollup!
The referee is slow to react,
but then drops to make the count:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

Orion kicks out!

Orion rolls back over and pushes off with his elbows,
landing right on his feet, while Haley simply gets his footing back,
and then rushes over to his brother.
He fakes going high, but then hits a knee into Orion's stomach.
Haley quickly snapmares him over, and locks in a dragon sleeper.
Orion starts to struggle once he's in the move,
and starts to push off with his legs.
Since Orion has such a strength advantage over Haley,
they both begin to rise,
though Orion is at an extremely awkward angle.
Haley is standing at his full height,
and Orion has his legs straight but is bent at his back.
He reaches up and grabs at his brother's head,
actually pulling on an ear to force Haley's head down,
parallel to Orion's torso.
Orion now wraps both of his arms around his brother's head,
locking them both into awkward positions.

HP: "What in the hell are these two doing, Manning?"

RM: "I'm not entirely sure, Manning! This must be a very strange
counter to the dragon sleeper hold that I don't think has ever been
seen before!"

With his brother's head still locked in his vice-grip,
Orion pushes off with one leg,
forcing himself to turn--and forcing Haley to go with him,
or have his back broken.
Now Orion is on top, and Haley is tangled up in him.
Mark begins to release his own hold,
as Orion walks back a few steps and drops all his weight!
The impact shakes the ring,
as Mark Haley's head was just smashed,
between the ring and Orion's chest!

RM: "Ooh, what an impact! Mark Haley is bound to be reeling after that
move!"

HP: "And look at Jax, wisely staying out of this. Let them beat the
hell out of each other, then you can come in and clean up the mess they
leave afterwards!"

Just as Hollywood says,
Jax is still sitting in the corner,
watching the Haley brothers beat on each other,
while he recovers in the corner.
Orion is back up, his back to Jax,
and he picks up his older brother,
and tosses him up into the far corner.
He hits a few jabs to loosen up Mark,
before he Irish whips him into the other corner--where Jax is.
Mark adjusts, but can't stop his momentum.
Jax tries to cover himself, but doesn't react fast enough,
and Haley's hip smashes into his face!
Orion comes rushing in,
and lands a body splash against Haley,
hitting his hip against Jax once more.

RM: "Jackson Hunter, whether he wanted to or not, just got himself back
into this match!"

HP: "Dammit, Jax, if he's gonna stick that thing in your face, you
should bite him!"

Orion flips Haley out of the ring,
and he lands awkwardly on his back.
Jax realizes that the corner might not be the best place for him,
so he rolls to the outside of the ring to catch his breath.
The referee watches him, and begins his ten count,
as Orion begins picking up Mark Haley.

ONE!
.

.

.

TWO!
.

.

.

THREE!
.

.

Orion picks his brother up and slaps on another front face lock,
and hefts for another suplex--
but Haley tangles his legs up in Orion's,
and blocks the attempt.
Mark is quickly out of the face lock,
and smacks Orion down to the mat with an arm breaker.

FOUR!
.

.

.

FIVE!
.

.

Haley tries to adjust the arm breaker into a full nelson,
but Orion realizes exactly where he's going,
and scrambles to get out of the hold.
Mark hangs on to his arm, however,
managing to get a half nelson applied.
As Orion stands up, Mark goes right up with him,
maintaining the half nelson.

.

.

SIX!
.

.

.

SEVEN!
.

.

.

EIGHT!
.

.

Orion has Haley's free hand in his grip,
and is struggling to fight out of the half-nelson.
Mark wraps a leg around Orion's, and pushes off with the other,
forcing Orion to the mat face first!
Mark manages to get his hand away from Orion,
and forces the full nelson!
Mark now just has to force Orion's large arms up,
and Orion will be trapped in the hold!

.

.
NINE!
.

.

Jax points at the ring,
causing the referee to look back at the Haley brothers in the ring.
The referee sees that Jax is now walking towards the ring,
and abandons his ten count to see if Orion is about to submit!
Jax is up on the ring apron,
calmly walking over to observe.
Because of Orion's size,
Haley is having a difficult time maintaining the full nelson,
but Orion still seems to be in considerable trouble.
Jax non-chalantly walks over,
and Haley almost panics and releases the hold--
until Jax slaps Orion right across the face.

RM: "I guess Orion doesn't think it's as funny when it's happening to
him, does he?!?"

HP: "Aw, gross! Now JAX is helping Mark Haley?"

RM: "I think it looks more that Jax is trying to put a stop to Orion!"

Mark, realizing that Jax is not a threat to him (right now),
tries to cinch the hold even tighter.
The cameras move in tight again,
and once again we can see up close,
and hear what the wrestlers are saying.

JAX: "Give up, Ashlee! Give up, you son of a bitch!"

RM: "Once again, I apologize for Jackson Hunter's language."

HP: "Shut up, Manning! Don't you dare apologize for Jax telling it like
it is!"

Mark Haley is having trouble maintaining the hold.
Jax slaps Orion across the face again, infuriating him even further!
Orion bucks wildly, almost tossing Haley clear off.
Jax responds by kicking Orion in the neck.
Haley manages to reestablish the hold,
and Jax slaps Orion again!
Orion is trapped in the hold!

RM: "This is what we already saw, but with roles reversed between Orion
and Jax! Now Orion is the one in the prone position, with Jax looking
smug over him!"

HP: "Serves Orion right for working with Mark Haley!"

Orion is struggling against his brother's hold,
but Haley locks his grip and isn't letting go!
Orion starts rolling back and forth,
trying to get leverage against Haley,
but Jax plants his foot on the back of Orion's head,
forcing him to eat the canvas.
Orion is completely trapped--and he moves to tap out!

RM: "Orion is about to tap out! That'll put Haley at eight points!"

HP: "Dammit! Jax, steal the move! Get the points for yourself!"

Jax snatches up Orion's long arms,
and prevents him from tapping out.
He locks up both of Orion's forearms in a circle in front of him--
now, Orion's arms are fully extended behind his back,
between the full nelson of the Total Eclipse,
and the armlock Jax is adding on. Orion can't move!

MH: "Give up, Darien!"

JAX: "Say it Ashlee! Say that you quit!"

O: "GGRRAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"

RM: "Orion is trapped, and Jax is doing a hell of a job from letting
him tap out!"

HP: "Rich, you just swore! You owe our audience an apology!"

RM: "Shut up, Hollywood!"

Orion keeps struggling,
but Jax kicks at him and strikes him in the jaw.
Orion has a trickle of blood run down his mouth,
and his free leg kicks at the mat.
Orion has no other choice--

O: "FUCK! I QUIT!"

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mark Haley has NINE POINTS! Orion has been
ELIMINATED from the King of Endurance match!"

The crowd cheers loudly for Mark Haley,
but it turns to boos as soon as Hunter releases his grip on Orion,
and tackles Mark Haley off of Orion!
Orion stands up,
and the referee is quick to try to get him out of the ring.
Orion is having none of it,
shoving the referee out of the way and jumping all over Jax!

RM: "Orion refusing to play by the rules!"

HP: "He should be attacking his brother! Haley is only one point away
from stealing the title away from Jax!"

DCWL security guards come running out from the backstage area,
while Orion alternates lefts and rights on Jax.
The champ tries to defend himself,
but Orion's landing heavy blows fueled by pure rage!
Security finally hits the ring,
and they begin pulling the struggling Orion away from the ring!
They manage to tumble him out of the ring,
while the referee keeps Mark Haley away,
while he inspects Jackson Hunter.
Orion is being dragged back up the ramp,
kicking and screaming the entire way,
as the ref decides that Jax is still capable of continuing the match.

RM: "I suppose docking Orion points would be moot, as he's already been
eliminated from this match, by declaring that he quits."

HP: "Ya can't blame him for being pissed off, Manning! But what I'm
pissed off about is the fact that Mark Haley got a full FIVE POINTS for
making Orion quit, when Jax was so freakin' vital to it! That referee
is biased!"

RM: "And what is he supposed to do, divide them up and distribute them
equally?"

HP: "Why the hell not? Now Jax has NO points, and Haley has NINE! Haley
only needs a single point to win that championship! Panzerotti is
cryin' freaking foul!"

Jax regains his footing,
as Orion is finally taken to the back,
and Mark Haley waits defensively,
for the referee to allow him back into the fight.
The referee finally moves out of the way,
and motions for both Mark Haley and Jackson Hunter to get it on!

RM: "And now it's down to two! Here's what so many people have been
waiting for!"

Jax and Haley begin circling one another,
neither one ready to show any signs of obvious offense.
They stop circling and meet in the center of the ring,
in a collar and elbow tie up.
Haley has a bit of a strength advantage,
but Jax is a bit fresher,
since he wasn't holding Orion down.
Jax manages to force Haley's arm up and ducks under,
getting into a rear waist lock with Mark.
Jax begins to lift, but has no luck,
as Haley quickly breaks Jax's grip around his waist,
and manages to slip behind him!
Before Mark can even do anything,
Jax reaches back and grasps at Mark's head and leaps forward--
Mark releases the grip,
and Jax winds up flopping on his rear with a botched 3/4 bulldog.
He's back up quickly, and we're right where we started!

HP: "Whole lotta nothin' so far. C'mon Hunter!"

RM: "Something tells me this is about to get a lot better, Hollywood."

Haley moves in on Jax,
and the duo begins to trade punches,
with neither man gaining a clear advantage.
Jax ends it with an eye rake,
following up with a kick to the stomach,
and a double ax handle to the back of the neck.
Haley is knocked down to one knee,
and Jax winds up for a big haymaker,
but Haley is quick enough to get a jab into the stomach.
Jax stops in mid swing,
and Haley goes into a sloppy arm drag, taking Jax to the mat.
Haley follows through and applies a sitting arm wrench.
Jax is on his side, struggling against the hold.

RM: "Haley is trying to stick to his A-game and wear down Jackson
Hunter."

HP: "That's boring! Why indulge in something as ridiculous as
submission wrestling here, tonight, in the main event of Cornerstone
Revolution?"

RM: "It's a way of damaging your opponent while you rest!"

HP: "BAH!"

While Rich and Hollywood bicker,
Jackson Hunter realizes his position in the ring,
and stretches his legs out to reach the bottom rope.
His top foot strikes against the rope,
and the referee orders Haley to release the hold.
Mark is reluctant, and hangs on through the referee's four count.
When Haley does release,
he brings up Jax and applies a side headlock.
Jax wraps his arms around Haley and lifts for a side suplex,
but is unable to move Haley,
who has his knees bent and his weight positioned low.
Jax manages to get some momentum,
and moves Haley back against the ropes,
then launches him into the opposite ropes.
Haley bounces off, and hits a shoulder block on Jackson,
knocking the champ down to the mat.
Haley bounces off the ropes on the other side,
but Jax keeps up and flattens in front of Haley.
Haley has to leap over Jax,
and then bounces off the opposite side.
Jax is back up, and Haley is running at him--

RM: "Double clothesline! Both men are down!"

Indeed, both Hunter and Haley have been knocked to the ground.
Jax raises an arm up, and tries to roll over onto Mark.
He, slowly, manages to do just that,
and the referee moves into position:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

.

Haley gets the shoulder up!

Jax is getting frustrated,
as both men slowly rise back to their feet.
Jax moves first, and draws a chop across Haley's chest--

CROWD: "WHOO!"

--before jabbing him in the throat.
Hunter grabs at Haley's neck and wrist,
and swings him down with a spinning neckbreaker.
Hunter follows up with a few well placed kicks,
to Mark's chest and abdomen,
and then drops an elbow right into Haley's sternum.
Jax picks up Haley and flings him into the corner--
Haley reverses, throwing Jax instead--
Jax reverses it right back,
drawing Haley in and hitting an elbow smash!
Haley lands down on the mat,
and now Hunter begins driving his knees into Haley's knee.
Jax rises up to the second rope,
and executes a Bret Hart-style elbow smash,
then hooks Haley's leg!

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

.

.

THREE!!

No! Haley kicks out!
The referee signals a two count.
Jax is beginning to show signs of frustration,
as he argues with the referee,
but resigns himself to only having gotten a two count.

RM: "Jax is coming dangerously close to getting on the board!"

HP: "The only thing DANGEROUS about this match is the possibility that,
if Mark Haley gets one more point, we've got a new champion! Come on,
Jackson! Get those points!"

Jax gets Haley up,
and irish whips him into the corner.
Mark makes like HBK and hits it by flipping upside down,
then tumbling out of the corner and to the mat.
Hunter is dissatisfied,
as he goes over and puts Haley into the corner himself.
He starts working him over with a few overhead punches,
then climbs to the second turnbuckle and begins punching.
The crowd counts along...

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

FOUR!

FIVE!

SIX!

SEVEN!

EIGHT!

NINE!

The crowd actually counts TEN!,
even though Jax didn't punch a tenth time.
Instead, Jax looks out at the crowd with a sneer,
that they would count along with him.
The crowd responds by booing the champion--
but it turns to surprised cheers as Haley picks Jax up,
out of the corner, and drops him with an inverted atomic drop!
The crowd begins to get behind Mark Haley,
who gets a second wind,
tossing his arms up and getting the crowd going!

RM: "The crowd is electric as Mark Haley begins to show some offense
against Jackson Hunter!"

HP: "That's because this crowd is deserving of being electrocuted!
Blasted idiots don't realize that Jax could lose the title!"

RM: "I think that's the exact reason they're cheering, Hollywood!"

Jax starts to get up,
with Haley standing in waiting behind him.
The champ turns to see Haley rushing at him,
and is decked with a sudden clothesline!
Jax is back up again,
and is knocked right back down with another clothesline!
Jax comes back up, and Haley leaps at him with a spear!
Haley rolls over and covers with a lateral press!

ONE!

TWO!!

.

.

.

Jax kicks out!
Haley begins to lead Jax up, by his head,
and applies a front face lock.
He hooks Jax's leg,
and hefts the champion up and over in a fisherman's suplex!
He maintains the hook and applies a bridge!

ONE!

TWO!!

.

.

.

Jax kicks out!
Haley is now the one to be frustrated,
and begins to show it when he starts punching at Jax.
Jax is knocked back into the corner,
where Haley begins to position him on the top turnbuckle!
Haley climbs up to the third rope,
bringing Jax up in a face lock while doing it.
He looks to be going for a superplex.

RM: "Looks like we're about to see something big, here!"

As Haley finally plants his feet on the ropes to pull off the move,
he begins to lift and lean back--but Jax pushes off,
and Haley flies down to the center of the ring by himself!
He impacts with a sickening THUD,
as Jax simply hops down and puts himself back to the mat.

HP: "HAHAHA! Serves you right for trying to steal Jax's hard earned
championship!"

Jax, seeing that Haley is obviously hurting,
goes for the pin!
The referee counts:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

.

.

THREE!!

NO!

The referee once again signals the two count,
and Hunter slaps the mat in frustration!
Jax, now just plain angry, looks at the referee,
and slaps one hand against the other three times.
The referee shakes his head no,
and simply slaps his own hands together twice.
Jax looks infuriated,
but decides to cover up Haley again,
hooking the leg for good measure.

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

Haley raises the shoulder!
Hunter, now on the verge of murderous rage,
just climbs on top of Haley,
and starts drilling him with repeated closed-fist punches!
Jax tires of this, then gets up quickly and hops out of the ring,
heading for the timekeeper's table!

RM: "Oh no..."

HP: "Here it comes, baby!"

Jax forces the seated time keeper up and out,
and quickly folds the chair up,
into the primary weapon of professional wrestling.
Jax re-enters the ring,
where Haley is turning over in an attempt to stand himself up.
Haley doesn't see Jax behind him,
lying in wait with a steel chair!
The crowd's tension grows, as Haley finally stands up and turns.

RM: "Look out!"

Jax swings as Haley turns,
but Haley manages to duck the swing and gets behind Jax,
and quickly slips on a full nelson!
The crowd cheers at the opening sight of the Total Eclipse!

RM: "HALEY IS GOING FOR THE TOTAL ECLIPSE! HALEY IS GOING FOR THE TOTAL
ECLIPSE! HE'LL HAVE THE MATCH FOR SURE!"

HP: "NO, JAX, NO!!! NOT LIKE THIS!!!"

Jax, realizing what's coming next,
begins pumping his feet to run!
Haley manages to keep up with him,
but Jax leaps through the ring ropes!
Jax goes through the second and third ropes,
and lands on his feet on the outside,
but Haley gets caught up,
and actually has his neck caught on the top rope!
Haley bounces back off the ropes and impacts against the canvas.
Jax, a little more on edge,
climbs over the ropes and reenters the ring.

RM: "Jackson Hunter using a very unique counter to the Total Eclipse to
escape!"

HP: "Jax, please! Don't scare me like that anymore!"

Jax picks up the chair he dropped a moment ago,
and tosses it over into the corner.
He picks Haley up,
and drops him right back down on the mat with a gutwrench slam.
Jax grabs the leg and sits down on Haley's chest!

ONE!

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

Shoulder up!
Jax curses very loudly, and picks Haley back up.
He irish whips Haley into the ropes, and Haley reverses,
sending Jax into the ropes!
Haley drops his head, but too early, and Jax--

RM: "BROKEN ARROW!!!"

HP: "YEEEEAAAAAHHHH!!!"

Both men impact on the ring, as Haley's head
was exposed to the Broken Arrow by dropping down!
Jax is quickly over to make the pin!

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

.

.

THREE!!!

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Jackson Hunter has THREE POINTS!"

HP: "Seven more to go, baby!"

RM: "Jackson Hunter has to be happy with himself, finally scoring
points in the match that he designed."

HP: "Can't you ever just say something without being so damned
condescending about it, Rich?"

Jax is up quickly,
and tosses Haley into the nearest corner.
Rather than even touch him,
Jax sets his eyes on the chair.

RM: "This can't be good."

HP: "Jax, you're supposed to be adding points! ADDING points!!"

Jax grabs the chair, then goes over to evaluate Haley.
He takes a look at him, groggy and exhausted,
and then lifts the chair over his head--
Haley kicks in desperation, stopping Jax in mid-swing!
Haley kicks again, and Jax loses his grip from one hand.
Haley starts to move out of the corner,
sizing up Jax for a haymaker.
He swings, and Jax spins aside!
Jax quickly reloads, as Haley turns and--

*! THWACK !*

--gets his face imprinted into the cold, unforgiving steel!
Immediately the referee signals a disqualification.

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Jackson Hunter has been disqualified, and as
a result will have two points DEDUCTED from his score. Mark Haley
leads this match by a score of NINE points to Jackson Hunter's ONE
point!"

RM: "Jax just lost two of his hard earned points!"

HP: "What are you doing?!?"

Jax drops the chair and pins Haley,
for which the referee reluctantly drops to count:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

.

.

THREE!!!

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Jackson Hunter has scored a pinfall, adding
THREE points to his score. Haley continues to lead with NINE points,
with Hunter now at FOUR points!"

HP: "HA! What did I tell ya, Rich?!? COBRA KAI!"

That quickly, Jackson Hunter is getting Mark Haley back up to his feet.

Jax also picks up the chair again in the process,
and uses one hand the irish whip Haley into the ropes.
Haley returns, and ducks a forward swing by the champion,
running to the other ropes!
Haley bounds into the air, looking for a flying elbow,
and Jax swings the chair at him anyway!

*! THWACK !*

!! CRASH !!

Jax swings the chair sideways, like a baseball bat!
Haley's arm provides some protection,
but Haley winds up getting creamed in mid air,
and then crashing into Jax!
Both men are knocked down,
with Mark Haley in a lot of pain, and completely dazed.
The referee signals another disqualification to the timekeeper.

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Jackson Hunter has been disqualified again,
resulting in another two point deduction. Haley still has NINE points,
and Hunter is down to TWO points!"

RM: "Jackson Hunter is going up and down in the points!"

HP: "Much like ol' Panzerotti goes in-"

RM: "DON'T finish that sentence!"

Jax rolls over,
and crawls to put an arm over Mark Haley.
The referee shakes his head at these antics,
but still drops into position to count:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

.

Haley kicks out--
THREE!!!

--a moment too late!
The referee makes yet another guesture to the timekeeper.

PA: "Ladies and gentlemen, Jackson Hunter has scored a pinfall, adding
three points to his total. Again, Mark Haley leads the scoring with
NINE points, to Jackson Hunter's FIVE points!"

Jax extends his arms outward,
one hand still holding the steel chair,
his typical sneer covering his face.
The crowd boos as loudly as they possibly can.
The referee now begins to snatch the chair away from Jax,
but Jax hangs on to it,
fighting with the referee over the chair!

HP: "Hey, you can't do that! Everything Jax has done is perfectly
within the rules!"

RM: "You're technically correct, Hollywood, but I still don't think
that makes it right!"

HP: "Bah! You sound just like my attorney!"

Mark Haley begins to get back up,
as the referee and Jax continue their fight over the steel chair!
The referee finally gets the chair,
and admonishes Jax by pointing a finger in his face and barking orders.

Jax makes another play for the chair,
but is caught by a school boy roll up from behind!
The referee is down to make the count:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

.

.

THREE!!

NO, SHOULDER UP!!!

The crowd releases a collective "awww",
as Jax gets his shoulders off the mat and rolls out of the roll up.
Both men are back up, and begin circling one another again.

RM: "Mark Haley just had a very near fall that could have won him the
DCWL Grand Championship!"

HP: "And thank goodness that didn't happen!"

RM: "Mark Haley is a single point away from winning the championship,
and Jackson Hunter needs five points to retain. If Jax gets Haley to
quit, he could win right out, but Mark Haley can either pin or force a
submission. Advantage Mark Haley!"

Jax sneers across the ring at Haley,
who matches his sneer with an intense stare.
The two lock up in the middle of the ring,
but neither man gains the advantage.
Jax pushes off, and Haley rebounds, and they lock up again.
Jackson forces Haley into a headlock,
but Haley bounds against the ropes,
and whips Jax into the opposite ropes.
Jax comes off quickly, and Haley nails a big powerslam!

RM: "Mark Haley breaking out of his normal repertoire for this match!"

HP: "He has to, Manning! I mean, this already been, what, three or four
individual matches to begin with, right? Both of these guys have to be
exhausted, and I can only think that they'll be doing whatever moves
they can pull off to get more points!"

Haley goes for an armbar,
but Jax has his foot on the ropes already,
so Mark knows not to proceed.
Instead, Haley pulls Jax up by the hair, and applies a wrist lock.
He spins Jax's arm, and begins to wrench on it.
Ever the wrestling staple,
Jax now reverses by taking Haley's wrist and wrenching his arm.
Haley reverses right back,
but spins the wrist violently enough to flip Jax down to the mat.
With Jax now in the center of the ring,
and his wrist already in Haley's hand,
Mark decides to apply that armbar!
Jax rolls inward, trying to avoid it,
but Haley leans back and the hold is on!
Jax starts kicking his legs,
looking for the ropes, but he's too far away!

RM: "If Jax taps out here, Haley's won the title! Haley could win it
all right here!"

HP: "Never! I'll never acknowledge Mark Haley as the Grand Champion!"

Jax is scrambling to find a way out of the hold,
but nothing is readily available to the champion.
He starts to claw his way to the ropes,
leaving deep fingerprint impressions on the mat while doing so.
He's making progress, little by little,
as the referee continues asking if Jax wants to submit.
Jax responds by spitting at him and soldiering onward.
Haley tries to stop his progress by smashing his leg into Jax's face.
Jax doesn't visibly react to this,
but keeps crawling his way over to the ring ropes.
Just before he's about to make contact,
Haley decides to release the hold.

RM: "Mark Haley releasing that armbar submission before the referee
forces him to!"

HP: "Bah, this referee is an incompetent anyway!"

Haley is up and kicking at Jax,
who is trying to use the ring ropes to stand himself back up.
As Jax stands,
Haley switches his technique to overhead punching and smashing.
With Jax up, this quickly degenerates into little more than a brawl,
with both men swinging wildly at the other!
Haley begins to press his advantage,
and stops the battle with a kick to the stomach.
Haley gets a decent grip on Jax,
and lifts him up into a vertical suplex,
before dropping him down into a brainbuster!

RM: "I think Haley is beginning to taste the Championship! He knows how
close he is!"

HP: "He's been this close since Orion left the match! Spare me your
melodrama, Manning!"

Haley rolls over onto Jax,
covering him with a lateral press:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

.

.

THREE!!

FOOT ON THE ROPES, NO PIN!!! NO PIN!!!

HP: "HA! Haley would make a crummy champ in the first place if he can't
even keep an eye on where the ring ropes are!"

RM: "I hardly think his ability to spot the ring ropes would speak for
his place as a champion in the DCWL. Besides, he's been in the ring now
for quite some time, I imagine that he's probably very tired!"

HP: "And Jax isn't?!?"

Both men begin to stand up,
with Jax pushed against the ropes, and irish whipped into the far side.

Haley leaps with a standing dropkick,
hitting Hunter in he chest.
Jax actually tumbles back into the ropes,
and falls over the top, out of the ring.
Haley is back up and sees Jax on the floor.

RM: "Nothing good ever happens on the outside of the ring!"

HP: "I think you must not have been paying attention through the years
and years of PLUNDAH!"

The referee begins his ten count,
as Haley waits for Jax to stand back up.
Jax is up to his feet,
but hasn't lifted his head yet.

ONE!
.

.

.

TWO!
.

.

Jax lifts his head up, and Haley runs in with a baseball slide!

.

.
THREE!

Jax dodges,
but grabs Haley by the legs and pulls him out of the ring!
Haley lands on his feet,
and the two begin brawling again!

.

.
FOUR!
.

.

Jax lands an eye poke, causing Haley to halt.
Jax seizes on this,
by trying to smash his head into the barricade between the fans,
but Haley stops his momentum--

.

.
FIVE!
.

.

--and elbows Jax in the ribs,
forcing his head into the barricade instead!
Jax is rocked, but Haley doesn't let up on him,
throwing a few lazy punches at him on the outside.
Jax is walking aimlessly on the outside, Haley following him.

.

.
SIX!
.

.

Haley turns the corner of the ring,
and reaches out for Jax's head,
but Jax slaps Haley's arm away.
Now Jax grabs Haley by the head,
and drives it right into the ringpost!

.

.
SEVEN!
.

.

Haley shakes out the cobwebs,
as Jax begins to whip him into the ring steps!
Haley counters, but plants his feet,
and hits a nasty clothesline that knocks Jax around!
Jax lands on his stomach.

.

.
EIGHT!
.

.

Haley hears the referee, and hops up onto the ring apron,
closest to the entranceway.
He leans down to get between the top and middle ropes,
but Jax grabs at his ankle!

.

.
NINE!
.

.

Jax pulls as hard as he can,
pulling Haley from the ring apron!
Because of the angle that Hunter is pulling from,
Haley falls very awkwardly,
and hits his head on the ring apron.
Hunter quickly slides under the bottom ring rope,
as the referee shouts "TEN!",
and signals to the timekeeper.

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mark Haley has been counted out, resulting
in a deduction of one point. Haley still leads the match with EIGHT
points, while Jackson Hunter trails with FIVE points!"

HP: "That's what I like to hear, Haley moving down in the world!"

Haley groggily reacts to hearing that he has lost a point,
and looks up to see a very smug Grand Champion in the ring.
The referee, since the match is reset, starts his count over.

ONE!
.

.

Jax backs off, inviting Haley back into the ring.
Haley moves over to the ring, and climbs up again.
Jax, naturally, decides this is the moment to pounce,
and moves in while Haley gets up on the apron.
Mark was anticipating this, however,
as he quickly grabs Jackson's skull,
and jumps off the apron down to the floor.

.

.
TWO!
.

.

RM: "Guillotine rope choke from Mark Haley!"

HP: "He must be pissed off about losing a point!"

Haley, seeing Jax clutching at his throat,
finds it safe to now slide into the ring underneath the bottom rope.
The referee stops his count,
as Haley leans down to pick up Hunter.
Jax is back down that quickly, however,
as Haley lands a quick DDT!
Jax headplants, holding there for a moment,
before actually falling back down on his stomach.

HP: "Still think that Haley can taste that Championship, Manning?"

RM: "I think he's beginning to get frustrated with this match, but I
have no doubts that Mark Haley is still dead set on winning the title
tonight!"

HP: "You can just keep on dreaming, Rich! No way Jackson will ever let
Mark Haley be the King of Endurance!"

Haley gets Jax back up, and tosses him into the corner.
Haley begins to charge in,
but Jax raises the leg and kicks Mark in the face.
Jax now runs out himself,
and as soon as Mark turns to face him,
he's hit with a forearm smash.
Mark doesn't fall, however,
and Jax moves in to apply a front face lock,
but Haley quickly drops down into a small package pin!

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

Jax turns it over, pinning Haley!

ONE!

.

.

.

.
TWO!!

.

.

.

.

Haley goes to kick out,
but Hunter grabs a big handful of tights,
keeping his shoulders down!

.

.

THREE!!!

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Jackson Hunter has scored a pinfall, adding
three points to his total. The match is now tied, at EIGHT POINTS
apiece!"

HP: "EIGHT ALL!"

RM: "My goodness! This is IT, folks! It all comes down to one final
fall. Whoever scores the next submission or pinfall is going to be our
winner, and the DCWL Grand Champion!"

HP: "That's right, Jax, it's time to take it one step more than Haley
can! You're the king!"

Both men roll out of hold and are now neutral,
standing apart from one another in defensive positions.
Haley, frustrated and tired, is starting to get pissed off.
The referee once more orders both men to get it on,
waving them at each other,
but neither one of them moves.
Both of them are simply standing there, staring at one another.
Both men are feeling the length of the match,
the toll on their bodies, the pressure.
Both men are feeling the animosity of the other man.

RM: "I think that Mark Haley and Jackson Hunter both know it."

HP: "'It,' Rich?"

RM: "Whoever scores next takes it all. All the pride, all the respect,
the title of King of Endurance and the Grand Championship! It's all on
the line! Right here and right now, these two are going to settle it
all!"

Both men begin moving in on one another,
both cautious and defensive.
Haley sloppily moves in for a collar and elbow tie up,
but then knees Jax in the stomach!
He flips him over with a snapmare,
and moves to apply a chinlock!
Jax is quick to kick him in the head,
before he's able to get the hold on, however,
knocking Haley back down.
Haley is temporarily stunned, but not hurt,
as Jax stands back up.
Haley bursts forward to clip the knee,
and Jax tumbles down!
Haley turns, seeing Jax clutching at his knee, and grabs his legs.
He begins to apply a figure four leglock!

RM: "If Haley gets the figure four applied, that could be the end of
it!"

HP: "Come on, Manning! When's the last time we saw a match end on a
freaking figure four leglock?!"

Jax is struggling to prevent Haley from completing the hold,
fighting to regain control of his legs.
Haley is succeeding, however, and manages to turn.
That's when Jax regains control of his other leg,
and places it firmly on Mark's backside,
rocketing him off!
Haley flies off, and winds up being caught by the ropes.
Jax is up in a flash, and runs at Haley--
who ducks down, pulling the top rope down with him!
Jax flips out of the ring!

ONE!
.

.

Jax starts to stand up, slowly.

.

.
TWO!
.

.

Jax is almost there,
holding himself up with his hands on his knees.

.

.
THREE!
.

.

Jax finally stands back up,
to see Haley leap with a standing plancha!

.

.
FOUR!
.

.

Haley impacts into Jax--
but Jax, his back against the barricade,
actually manages to catch Haley in mid-flight!
Haley swings, but Jax wraps his arms around him to isolate him,
and has him locked up in an inverted piledriver position!

.

.
FIVE!
.

.

Haley, still struggling against Jax,
is stuck in place with his head upside down.
Jax leans forward and piledrives Haley into the floor!

.

.
SIX!
.

.

Haley falls to the floor, and Jax begins to stand back up.
Jax picks up Haley by his black hair,
and begins dragging him up and over into the ring.

.

.
SEVEN!
.

.

Jax pushes Haley back into the ring.

.

.
EIGHT!
.

.

Jax climbs back into the ring himself.
He pushes Haley further into the ring,
and goes for a lateral press.
The referee doesn't notice,
when Jax again puts his feet up on the ring ropes for extra leverage,
as he drops to make the count:

ONE!

.

.

.

.

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

.

.

.

Shoulder up!
Jax falls awkwardly, with Haley turning over.
Both men are down,
and Haley rolls over to push himself up to all fours.
Jax starts standing up as well, and both men start up.
They begin trading punches, both swinging half-heartedly,
as they're both exhausted.
Haley swings, and hits Jax in the chest.
Jax swings, but misses, and goes past Haley!
Haley pushes him into the corner,
and Jax plants into it chest first!
Haley signals to the audience, and gets a cheer!

HP: "GAH!"

RM: "It looks like Mark Haley is going for it all, right now!"

Haley sets Jax, facing out to the audience,
on the top of the turnbuckle.
Haley follows up after him,
climbing up and standing on the top rope.
He pulls the champion up with him, and applies a full nelson.
The crowd begins to cheer!

HP: "I don't like the looks of this!!"

RM: "He's going for the Total Eclipse Superplex! That'll be all of it!"

HP: "Don't jinx us, Manning!"

Haley has the hold,
and pulls back hard.
Both men fall down, and the impact is DEVASTATING!
Camera flickers go through the audience,
as Jax and Mark Haley crash into the ground,
bouncing off the canvas.
Haley hangs on to the hold.
Jax is on his shoulders and
looks completely out of it,
with his legs flipped up and over his head.
Haley bridges, though he appears to be hurting himself,
and sets up the pinfall!

ONE!

.

.

.

HP: "Haley's shoulders are down!"

.

.

RM: "So are Jackson Hunter's!"

.

.

TWO!!

.

.

HP: "Who is he counting?!?"

.

.

.

Jax moves--

THREE!!!

**DING DING DING**

(Haley releases Jax, but the referee doesn't go to raise anyone's hand.
Instead, the referee goes to the timekeeper's table and talks with the
people there. Both challenger and champion remain on the canvas,
utterly exhausted and motionless, while the referee retrieves the Grand
Championship belt, and heads back for the ring.)

RM: "Folks, we're still a little unclear on what the official decision
is for this all-important match."

HP: "Jax retained! JAX RETAINED!"

RM: "Hollywood, please! The match is over, but we're not sure who the
referee made the final pin against!"

(The referee stands between Jax and Haley, who are stirring on the
canvas, but still very much out of it. The official holds the Grand
Championship belt in both hands, and raises the title belt up into the
air.)

PA: "Ladies and gentlemen, with a final score of ELEVEN POINTS..."

HP: "WHO?"

PA: "... he is the KING OF ENDURANCE ..."

HP: "WHO?!?"

PA: "... and the NEEEEEEEEEEEW DCWL GRAND CHAMPION ..."

HP: "NNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

PA: "... MMMAAAAAAARRRRRRKKK HAAAAAAAAAAALLLEEEEEEEYYYYY!!!"

(The crowd bursts in a chorus of resounding cheers, as the referee
hands the title belt to Mark Haley, as "What If" by Creed begins to
blast overhead! Haley stares at it for a moment, just looking down at
the gold plating and words of "DCWL GRAND CHAMPION." Jackson Hunter is
livid, arguing with the referee, claiming that his shoulder moved, but
the referee is unconvinced.)

RM: "Mark Haley is the NEW DCWL Champion! Mark Haley has defeated
Jackson Hunter and has become the newest man to hold the title of Grand
Champion! And now here comes Evelynn to celebrate with her fiancee!"

(EVELYNN comes running out from the back and slides into the ring to
celebrate. She wraps her arms around Mark Haley, and he hugs her back,
pressing the belt between them, and still in complete shock that he's
finally won the title. Jax continues spitting venom at the referee,
furious that he's lost his title!)

RM: "This is absolutely incredible! Mark Haley has won the title from
Jackson Hunter, and he can't even believe it himself! Hollywood
Panzerotti is completely speechless, and Jackson Hunter, on the other
hand, can't stop arguing with the referee!"

(Evelynn lets go of Mark Haley, who looks back down at the title belt.
Evelynn takes him by the shoulder, trying to break him out of his
reverie, and tell him that he has, in fact, won the DCWL title! This
realization finally hits Haley, as his eyes become as big as saucers
and his grip tightens on the title belt! Jax has abandoned his appeal
to the referee, and is simply standing in the ring, behind Haley, with
his hands on his hips in an indignant pose, his face showing the anger
and the frustration and the bitterness. In other words, Jax has his
standard sneer on his face.)

RM: "Hollywood Panzerotti continues to be speechless here, as he is
apparently incapable of uttering words at the prospect of Mark Haley
being the DCWL Grand Champion! The former Champion has finally given
up arguing, apparently willing to accept this loss. Though I don't
believe that he's pleased with this turn of events at all!"

(As it finally completely dawns on Mark Haley, that he has actually
won, he drops to his knees, and slowly raises the title belt up over
his head. The fans all begin to cheer for him all over again, and
Evelynn claps her hands. Mark lets out a scream, so pleased with
himself, that he's finally won the Grand Championship! He quickly
stands up, and he and Evelynn begin to wrap the belt around his waist.)

RM: "You just can't take anything away from either Jackson Hunter or
Mark Haley, or even Orion, because this was easily the most intense
match we've seen in quite some time! All of these men will be able to
say in the future, 'I was in the King of Endurance match'."

(Mark Haley looks up at himself on the Jumbotron, with the title belt
on. He's all smiles, but looking very proud, not smug. Evelynn kisses
him on the cheek, and then Haley notices Jax standing in the background
of the shot--Haley turns to face him.)

RM: "Mark Haley is probably looking to collect on Jax's promise of a
handshake! Hunter is going to have to swallow his pride here and live
up to his end of the bargain."

(Mark Haley looks at Jackson Hunter. Hunter swallows hard, knowing
what's about to come. The audience quiets down, waiting for what's
about to come as well. Haley, still looking far more proud than smug,
extends his hand. Jax stares down at it, looking at it, thinking it
over. He takes a deep breath, and puts his arm out--)

"DON'T DO IT!"

(Jax, Haley, and Evelynn all look around, as the air of quiet
excitement is replaced with a general confusion. Out from the
backstage, LOGAN McKENZIE walks out from the backstage curtain. He
brings with him another referee and, perhaps regrettably, has a
microphone with him. Logan is dressed in dark blue jeans and an
obviously dated "Elite Players Club" tee shirt. Most notable is the
cast on his right forearm.)

LOGAN McKENZIE (LM): "Sorry to interrupt this handshake moment, but I
have a few things to say. You'll both have to indulge me for a moment,
since I have a microphone and, well, none of you do!"

(Logan begins to march to the ring, actually forcing the referee in
front of him to walk by a few "prodding" shoves. They both enter the
ring by the ring steps, and then the referee climbs through the ropes.
Logan shouts at him, and the referee sits on the second rope, holding
it for Logan.)

RM: "I'm a bit confused here, folks. Logan McKenzie has just
interrupted this situation between Jackson Hunter and the new DCWL
Grand Champion, Mark Haley."

(Logan gets set in the ring, then takes an short look at everyone else
in the ring. He locks eyes with Mark Haley. Then he and Jax glare at
one another. Then Logan looks for a brief moment at Evelynn, before
turning away.)

LM: "I'd like to congratulate you, Mark, for finally getting your hands
on that Grand Championship. You know, I didn't think that you would
ever get your hands on it, not the way you are. You've proven me wrong
in that respect, Mark."

(A smile comes across Haley's lips.)

LM: "But here's the thing Mark. You did, in fact, get your hands on the
title. That is true. You're holding it right now. And I have to admit,
it does look pretty good on you. But you know what, Mark, even though
you've got it, I don't think you've earned it."

(Mark frowns. He motions to the belt around his waist and makes his
case, but Logan rolls his eyes.)

LM: "Spare me, Haley. You're not going to convince me. Especially not
in the light of the overwhelming video evidence."

(Logan motions to the video screen.)

LM: "Oh, I should mention--The DCWL has, IN NO WAY initiated a
video-replay system. But since the title match was signed under MY
authority, not under the authority of Interim Commissioner JT Damon,
I'm the one who gets to make these decisions. Now, having said that,
let's go to the video feed!"

(Video begins to queue up on the Jumbotron, of the match we just
witnessed. It's from a completely different angle than we previously
saw. Haley has just landed his Total Eclipse Superplex, and is now
holding on to make the pin. From this angle, which the referee during
the match did not see, Mark Haley's shoulders are clearly touching the
mat. Mark, looking at this, looks very disappointed. The video ends.)

LM: "You probably didn't even notice it, Mark, but that doesn't change
the fact that your shoulders were definitely on the mat. So, if I
remember how this match works out, that means that, at the end of this
match, Jackson Hunter had eleven points, too. But I'm afraid, Mark,
that the tale of the tape has an awful lot more to say about this than
you may have even realized. Roll part two!"

(Another video is up on the screen, this one showing yet another angle
of the match. Right after impact, Haley holds through and exposes Jax's
shoulders to the mat. You can't see Haley's shoulders from this point
of view. The referee strikes the mat once. Then he strikes it again.)

LM: "Ok, stop it right there! Now, slow it down, do a frame-by-frame."

(Just as Logan has requested, the video slows down a great deal. Little
by little, the image changes. The referee's hand begins to move down,
but then we see Jax's shoulder, away from the referee, rise up off the
mat. The referee's hand drops the third time.)

RM: "I... don't know what to say. It looks like Mark Haley's shoulders
were on the mat, and Jackson Hunter's shoulders weren't!"

(Back in the ring, Logan is standing, quite pleased with himself. Haley
is completely astonished, and Jax has his sneer back on his face. The
two referees are now conferring with one another.)

LM: "So, after viewing the evidence, it is plainly obvious that you,
Mark Haley, did NOT win the match, are NOT the King of Endurance, and,
above all, are NOT the DCWL Champion!"

(Haley is now protesting the fact that he's plainly wearing the belt,
and that makes him the champ. The referees go over to Haley, and begin
motioning towards the title belt around his waist. Haley is defensive,
not wanting to relinquish the title belt! Evelynn's hand comes across
her mouth, in total shock. The referees motion to the belt again, but
Haley is still reluctant.)

LM: "Mark, come on. Don't make us take it from you."

(Haley is visibly furious with Logan, but despite that he removes the
title belt and drops it at his feet. The referee takes the title belt
and hands it to Jackson Hunter! Jax slings the belt over his shoulder,
and the referee raises his hand!)

PA: "Ladies and Gentlemen ... the referee has overturned his prior
decision, and has declared that the winner of this match ... and STILL
the DCWL Grand Champion ... is JACKSON HUNTER."

HP: "YYEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!! JUSTICE!"

(The crowd begins to boo very loudly, louder than they've had reason to
boo all night!)

LM: "Congratulations, Jackson. You remain the DCWL Champion. As for
you, Mark Haley, well, you've lost another big time match. I'll bet
this sort of thing is getting really old for you, isn't it? Man, that's
really going to bring down the wedding, too. I mean, now Evelynn won't
be able to wear white, and she won't be marrying the best, like you
wanted her to do Mark. Hey, Evelynn, that reminds me, am I invited to
the wedding? I only ask because, if I am, I'll have to make sure to
wear an outfit that makes me look good, but not TOO good. I mean, you
must be getting sick of other people looking better than your fiancee.
Am I right? Especially in light of this latest, embarrassing
defea--OOFF!"

(Haley tackles Logan! Haley leaps right on top of him and starts
pounding him with repeated right hands! The referees are trying to pull
him off, but are having very little success, as Mark Haley continues to
blast Logan! Jackson Hunter is all smiles, or as much of a smile as we
can typically see from Jax, as he watches Haley pounding on McKenzie.
Jax decides that there's nothing that he can add to the situation, so
he leaves, proudly taking his DCWL Grand Championship title belt with
him. Evelynn is near tears, as Mark Haley keeps attacking Logan! The
referees finally manage to remove Haley from Logan, but Haley is
absolutely indignant.)

RM: "Ladies and Gentlemen, I have absolutely no words--"

HP: "But I do!"

RM: "Oh, you're speaking again?!?"

HP: "This is the best night of my whole life! Jax won in the DCWL's
biggest match! It's the best thing I've seen since he won the title in
the first place! Logan just made my people of the year list! And
Haley's beating the hell out of him, now! HAHA! Just look at all the
CARNAGE!!"

RM: "Ladies and Gentlemen, that's our show tonight! I hope you've
enjoyed DCWL's Cornerstone Revolution! Don't forget to catch the next
episode of Total Dementia!"

(Logan starts to stand up, and wipes the trickle of blood from his
mouth with the hand in the cast. The camera angle switches to show
Jackson Hunter, happliy enjoying the mess of Haley, McKenzie, and
Evelynn in the ring. The image begins fading to black, but not before
Haley leaps at Logan once more!)
