NEWZ UPDATE - September 7, 2009

NEWS

• Shootfire Pro and former DCWL Commissioner Henry Spikes has announced he intends to appear at "Plunderland '09." Not much is known about what he intends to say, but good money says it's going to be about the surprise appearance of Shootfire's rogue employee JDM Superstar.
• The rumors are true: the DCWL is opening up a female division. Two names have already been signed: Molly Molotov and Gabrielle RioPaah. Molotov is relatively new to wrestling and RioPaah competed sporadically in the old DCWL. To top it off RioPaah has allied with The Annoyed Samoans! Another former DCWL wrestler is in talks to sign with the Sirens division, and expect appearances from Shootfire's Goddesses in the near future.
• Mere days after "Citation Needed," Complete Control members John Blackstock and Eric Quinney announced they were parting ways with their trainer / mentor Shane "Stretcher" Preston, blaming him for their lackluster win / loss record. Blackstock and Quinney wish to remain in the tTios division, however, as a mercenary unit. And their first client? B.A. Jive, who apparently has a score to settle with his Brains'n'Chains colleague Joe Pansac!
• For his part, Preston still claims the split was amicable and has announced his intention to stay on with the DCWL as a freelance singles wrestler.
• Leon Corella has the approval from DCWL management (and the City of Calgary Fire Department) to torch the DCWL Maple Leaf Championship belt at Plunderland '09! Alton West may have a few things to say about it, but the move comes with the tacit approval of DCWL managment.
• Max Turbo continues to gain momentum as Dangerous Champion. Expect to hear more about this wrestler in coming weeks. Although Dan Clear will be doing the reporting, so your milage may vary.
• Speaking of Dan Clear, his latest find Caleb Brantseg will be making his DCWL debut against Brian Irwin.
• More details about the Devil's Death Haunted Hell Plunder Match: It will apparantly take place outside of Calgary's Roundup Centre and include weapons and things blowing up. Porno Anderson and Paul Doom have reportedly volunteered to participate.
• In order to relieve tensions between The Annoyed Samoans and Unique Element, a singles contest has been ordered for Plunderland, with one member of each team facing each other in a one-on-one contest.

ROSTER

• Mina Eyre and Joe Pansac have been offered full-time contracts. Wolf Masterson (who was working a per show deal) has been offered a full-time contract.
• Molly Molotov and Gabrielle RioPaah have signed per appearance deals with the Siren's division.
• JDM Superstar has signed a tentative per appearance deal.
